Being Sweet to You is Our Business
About

Keller's Bakery was started by Doug's  grandparents, Fenwick and Eleanor Keller, in downtown Lafayette, LA in 1929.  Growing up,Doug used to spend his summers at the bakery learning from his  Paw Paw.  Doug was 15 years old when he officially joined the family business working with his  father Doug Shores I and uncle Kenny Keller in the back shop, and his mother Ann Shores in the front shop.  Kristie, Doug's girlfriend at the time, started working at the downtown bakery when she was 15 years old learning cake decorating skills from Gladys Landry.

In 2004, Doug and his wife, Kristie Shores decided to carry his grandfather's traditional recipes to the small town of Youngsville. Now with the help of their own family members, and a special handful of employees, they are making a household name of Keller's Bakery of Youngsville.
